What is the origin of Maille mustard?
Maille traditional Dijon mustard dates back to 1747 when Antoine-Claude Maille and his son founded "La Maison Maille" and became the official supplier to the court of Louis XV - a true original.
Dijon mustard has a long and ancient history, being first prepared in the town of Dijon, France at least as far back as 1336. It was there that it earned its distinctive name due to its rich blend of spices, including white wine from Burgundy that gave it its signature flavor.
